In that case, lets all try and get a £1 room, if that fails move onto travelodge. I'd quite happily pay £40 for the Hoxton, whereas the travelodge I stayed in while I was in london was awful, (pretty sure it was liverpool street too. I'd pay nomore than £20.

me too I really enjoyed my stay there and would glady pay to stay there I was just one of the lucky ones to get a roiom for a £1 for Easter:T :T :T :T
  • Cheers for the post :j

I managed to get a £1 room and stayed there last week.

Was a really nice hotel (you must try the cocktails - they are to die for!) and I'm definitely going to try for another £1 room despite the fact that the bathroom flooded as the plumbing needs fixing (and apparently has needed fixing for the past two years according to the receptionist )

Strange. It was only yesterday they confirmed this to me on the phone. Maybe their system is just not ready!?!

Was at the Hoxton this weekend. No special offer, but still about a squillion times better than any travleodge, so worth every penny.

Decent place, interesting decor, great food and drinks. Maybe not the absolute best location in London, but certainly good enough. It's walking distance to Jamie Oliver's 15 Restaurant, too.

We will go back to the Hoxton, but have stopped using travelodges because of the dirt , shabbiness, and rudeness.
