Calls to mobiles from BT business lines

I was just reading all the stuff about reducing the cost of calling mobiles so I called BT to ask how much they were charging me to call mobiles from my business phone. They told me anywhere between 14-17p per minute BUT since I had taken the time to call them, they would put me on a new package they've just introduced whereby it's only 10p per minute with a cap of 25p! Flipping marvellous, thanks very much. Only wish they'd told me sooner. The cost of calling mobiles by far makes up the bulk of the cost of my business calls so this is a really great find. You do need to ring up for it though. I wonder why they're not advertising it?!...

There is nothing to stop a business. registering with providers like 18866,1899,&18185. To get cheaper rates to certain destinations then even BT offers on the capped package.Eg
18866 offer calls to 01/02 uk numbers for just 2p connection. No call charges!!! at all times.

Please do be aware that these business packages of BT also require a minimum amount being spent on calls over a certain amount of time. I know someone who was caught up in this and at the end of the period hadn't reached the required amount and so had to pay more than £100 to make up the deficit.

Also they will analize your bill on the call charges you have previously paid which if you are then going to be paying less you are more likely not to reach the targets set.

Make sure you get written information regarding the package they have put you on and that you can get out of it before it comes into effect.

Agree with pricefighter, in my office we have signed up for 18866/18185 and hardly use BT now for actual calls icon7.gif
