Hope everyone's having a fantastic Monday (I don't think those two words actually go together though, do they!)
Just had to pop on and share my good news. My OH and I stayed in a hotel over the Easter weekend (all budgeted for, of course!) - we had a terrible time, there were two coach loads of sports fans booked in and they kept us awake with their shouting, loud music etc in the early hours. We complained, but were told there was nothing that could be done as they were full. Easter weekend, soall the local hotels were booked up.
The old me would have left it at that, but I decided I wasn't going to pay for a service I wasn't happy with, so when we got home I wrote a strongly worded letter to the manager suggesting they might like to compensate us for our distress and exhaustion. Lo and behold, a letter arrives this morning with a full refund! :T How's that for some great MSE work?
Am well chuffed, as I thought it would be much harder than that. And it means we're better off this month than we thought we would be.
Apologies for long post but am very pleased with myself. Has right made my day! :rotfl:
GOOD FOR YOU:T :T :TBut these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -

Lovely!! We love some consumer revenge!! Well done!
Question, would you rather have had the cash or another night away with OH to rest? you know you'll only spend the money on bills/living etc... whereas if they'd given you a voucher for another stay you would have got away again?
Being MSE peeps, i can bet the money is the preferred option!
