Hi everyone,
Just popped on to catch up - I have no sudafed so have just taken the kids liquid version yuck. Not sure if it is sinuses or hayfever (which I don't get every year for some reason) but am getting really annoyed with how long this has been here for.
shell - Have you thought about trading the games in for a credit at GAME? or selling on Amazon Marketplace?
Sharon - I know what you mean - not sure where Pigpen fits in all her little peoples room! Although our Oldest is 7 and tbh is really quite good. I tell her to go tidy her room and she does a reasonable job. I then go in and "finish" it. She has got quite good at realising when it is on the verge of getting bad and will have a 10min tidy round. There is no way I would be trying to level 3 all their bedrooms on one dayand dd2's room isn't ever really that bad - ds alway has a carpet of lego, cars, dirty clothes, clean clothes he has discarded and generally refuses to do anything in there. He is getting a little better though but I just wish that once he had finished playing with something he put it in its home but he has to play with everything at once!
ok need to book a courior 1 buggy gone. Kitchen looks like a disaster zone so will clear it up next.
Catch you all later.0 -

OH just nipped home from work. He has really p****d me off.
I told him I have to take next weeks contribution for the bill this week as I had none left for fuel etc. and he is moaning about it. (I get paud next week so won't take any money out then)
He contributes £90 a week towards the bills, groceries etc.
I get my wage and some CTC.
Out of my account come the Mortgage, Water Rates, Council Tax, TV licence, House Insurance, Gas and Electric, Internet/TV charge and all the money for groceries, kids clothes, days out with kids, swimming etc
On top of his £90 a week, he pays for the car tax, insurance, kids music lessons.
Fair enough, if there is something big to pay out, new car, hol, he pays. But I don't think he has any concept about how much it costs to run a home and put food on the table.
hope you feel better for your rant, couldn't you have wages paid into all one account then that way he could see the ocst of running a house and instead of the my money idea make it our money iyswim......thats what we do and it really can work for the better. Or show him bank statements that way he can see the full cost of running a house. it seems a little unfair to me that. You can touch the dust but please don't write in it !
Would you like to speak to the man in charge, or the woman who knows whats happening?0 -

With the bedrooms i do try and get in most days say 5 out of 7, quick clean and also now i do make the kids do more. I make them tidy up and if its not good enough i show them how and where to put things. I have been doing it for a few weeks now and they are getting better, my daughter especially. The boys i do have to be on top of but they are getting the hang of it now. But on the other hand its not perfect and somedays my HHC upsatirs turns into HHC just for the boys bedroom.:rolleyes:You can touch the dust but please don't write in it !

Chasing Butterflies no worries about the FF any advise is helpful. I thought we couldn't have one with water and ice dispenser as it will be on the otherside of the kitchen to the sink but DH said he saw one advertised at currys which didn't need water connection. I find this confusing and will need to investigate further.
I did really well last night - Asda shop online(nicki's got me worried I've put wrong code off card in now and my shopping won't turn up tomorrow, will have to check it), All my ironing, obviously have more washing but no ironing and hopefully not alot over the weekend as I will be there to take the stuff out of TD as soon as finished. I did fail on my ebay listings, only listed 1. But not my fault - camera!!!! Decided to run out of batteries and I had no more in the house! Going to MrT after work so can do lots of listings tonight.
Now going for a quick look on facebook, something else I'm sure I will get addicted to!!!!!!!!!!Need to sort my life out! :T0 -

Thanks. Rant out of system now. We have discussed a joint account in the past, but generally end up barneying when we talk about money. He seems to think he is much better at managing his money than I am. However, when I have offered to give him 90 quid a week and let him sort out the direct debits he doesn't seem that keen funnily enough!
I blame it on his mother to some extent. He was 22 and still living at home when I met him. His mum used to charge him £10 a week board and half the time he didn't even have to pay that.
So when we first got together he found it hard to part with hard earned cash for mundane things like bills!!
Also, as he is S.E he counts what he pays out from the business as his outgoings and I argue they are a separate thing all together.
I know he sets money aside for if there are any major outgoings like home improvements, hols etc. which is all well and good, but the day to day things still need to be paid for.
If I left it up to him to do the weekly shop, we'd be living off beans on toast and wiping our a*ses on the Daily Star!!
