    Have you seen my kitchen???

I have that cooker.. or near enough.. in anthracite (nearest thing to black I could get) 'cept mine has 8 burners. My kitchen was that colour.. it is now pale blue, I have a huge belfast sink too.. and I love it.. I bath the 3 little ones in it sometimes.. saves water rather than running a big bath full just for their little bodies. We have black granite work surfaces too which I ADORE!!

I am venturing out to the shed to get out 3 boxes of ebay stuff my hubby 'forgot' to get out for me.. if I am not back soon come rescue from 'them'

vivw I am so jealous, would love a new kitchen.

We have cracked floor tiles, dodgy plinths, worktop sealant cracking, the veneer on the units has started to lift etc. but can't see it happening for a long while.

The things you have chosen look great, especially like the cooker. Hope it all goes well. Are you doing it yourselves?

Thanks. .....Yes, we are. OH is at the moment dismantling yet another unit but trying to keep the sink in operation.
We are buying the cabinet frames but putting on either doors from the old cabinets/plain bought doors or doors OH makes as I want to paint them green. I still haven't chosen the worksurface yet either.
We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.

i love the cooker. i couldn't go back to four burners now though we 'only' have 7 rather than 8. we're anthracite too. kitchen is green with wooden worktops and a belfast sink. it needs deep cleansing so i'm glad it's tomorrow's list. are you back yet pigpen or did the spiders get you?

Clutter safely tucked away under the beds, tables, units, sofas, sink... Everybody knew which was the one cupboard you could open, and not to touch the rest in case of death by avalanche of rubbish. All surfaces equally dusty.

Then I started reading you lot, and now you can't move for stacks of Items everywhere (labelled ebay, charity shop, freecycle, tip, etc). The cat is afraid to show her face in case she gets hoovered. And my best mate, who never heard of mse, thinks I've lost it cos I started off a sentence with 'Pigpen says'. (WHO said???? Um, Pigpen...) :rotfl:

Anyway, hi, and some day I hope to be as organised as you all are!
  • Definately count me in. Kids are still off and OH is going back to work.
