Well, there will be no flying for me tomorrow as I no longer have a kitchen - see here
We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.

Thanks - I'm in again. Have just seen the list though...

Clear and wipe the tops of the wall units... not you porky pregnant people though.. I know you are so keen!

Don't you know I didn't clean the top of one of the cupboards when we moved in (9 months ago) as I just couldn't face it, it was so high and dirty. I still haven't cleaned it, it's filthy and is my cupboard top of shame.... Might actually have to look at it tomorrow:eek:

Liquid soda crystals are brilliant for cleaning the tops of manky kitchen cupboards.

I'm going to try and do better this week. It will be much better when DH is back at work and the children are back at school though. I can't seem to get anything done when they are under my feet all the time or DH insists we all have to get out because he's bored

I'm in too! Had a busy few days so not had chance to post but have been here in spirit! Was a good girl this weekend and did some jobs so the worst thing for me (as it stands today anyway) is the HUGE mountain of washing and ironing. Don't worry Pigpen - I know what you said about spending time with the children - on Friday DD1 had a treat as I took her to M&S for a drink and a snack in the cafe. Believe it or not its her favourite place. If you say were going out for tea she always wants to go to M&S!:rotfl: Saturday we went to the park in the morning and had M&D over for tea later on,then played snakes and ladders with her after tea. Then today been at IL's for tea and she got to play with her cousins. She did do a good job tidying her room after lunch (OK I did a good job, she played with all the toys I was trying to tidy and did a bit). She's turning into a flylady though as after tidying her room she announced it was the second best day of her entire life! (The first being her birthday).:rotfl: :rotfl: She really is one on her own that girl!

I'm in again. I didn't get much done last week so i'm going to try my best this week.

I'm having a tooth out in the afternoon  so i'll have to fly in the morning.

    Killer Kitchen - Monday
    Level One

    Clear and wipe work surfaces
Clear the window sills (*rofl* not likely!!)
    Level Two
Sweep and Mop (OH borrowed my mop to clean the floors in the house he's building it's so disgusting i'm making him buy me a new one  )the floor
Wipe the cupboards, appliances and all those manky corners!!
Take down and clean the lightshades.
    Level Three
Clear and wipe the tops of the wall units... not you porky pregnant people though.. I know you are so keen! ( i can't they are to close to the ceiling:p )
Wipe over all those small appliances.. don't forget the inside of the microwave!
Wipe out the gicky parts of the fridge and have a quick check for what needs restocking.. I have locusts off school!!
    Extras
    • Clean oven/hob if you must.. *rolls eyes*
    • HHI ..
    • Clean windows
    • treat the pets for fleas!!! This is prime time for them to be developing an infestation.. the last thing you need in your house! .. left on in case you were lazy like me and missed this! ( only a hamster i don't think he's got any)
    • Go play a game with the children who have helped you today!!
    Childrens list.
    1. Clear and wipe the table
    2. Load the dishwasher (DW) if you have one
    3. Can you fill the washing machine (WM) with things that are all the same colour and switch it on?? This is a very important thing to learn.. many big clever daddies struggle with this job.. even our daddy.. so if you can do this.. you are cleverer than him!
    4. If you are a bigger little person could you wipe over the fronts of the kitchen cupboards and fridge/freezer/washing machine.. sometimes you need to check the insides too as they get a bit sticky..

vivw I am so jealous, would love a new kitchen.

We have cracked floor tiles, dodgy plinths, worktop sealant cracking, the veneer on the units has started to lift etc. but can't see it happening for a long while.

The things you have chosen look great, especially like the cooker. Hope it all goes well. Are you doing it yourselves?
