We bought this house 18 months ago - water meter already in situ - wasn't put off and bills slightly less so far.
Have a big garden but haven't had to water it yet - no sun!0 -
Who honestly finds two identically perfect houses. I have always struggled to find one. With four kids it would affect me more than most ( I have only just found out about the social tariff and I guess there plenty more the same). If you find the right house you have found the right house.
That was the point I was making - it is so very unlikely that a meter probably isn't going to factor given the bigger picture that 90 % of the country are probably going to have them forced upon them if they don't already have them (just my opinion BTW) before they move out of their current house
MPI have a poll / discussion on Economy 7 / 10 off-peak usage (as a % or total) and ways to improve it but I'm not allowed to link to it so have a look on the gas/elec forum if you would like to vote or discuss.

Having had to have a water meter because my house is new build, it would definetly be a plus for me. My water charge is around £13 a month and I was paying £43 a month based on rates.0
