how much/often do you feed your cat

I split a 100g packet between 3 cats twice per day, then leave a large bowl of dry food out all the time for them to graze on, it doesn't seem like a lot of wet food, but if we lewave more out they just ignore it and it the dry food anyway. Very occasionally one of them will decide they want supper aswell so because DH and I are both soft touches she gets another 1/3 packet

Lots of good advice here. It is best to give your cats lots and lots of meat as they need a whole lot of protein in their diets.

Also......with the water thing......cats like to drink water away from where their food is.....so you may often find your cats drinking from taps, the bath, toilet, puddles etc etc.

i got 3 cat ones 4 ones 2 and one is 8 months the older 2 get a pouch of wet food morning and evening and the kitten gets half a pouch morning and evening also i leave a bowl of biccys each down so they can nibble all day and i just keep topping the bowls up before we got kitty out 2 big cats were going through a small box of cat biccys in 24 hours so we dont put so much down

She has a foil or pouch of Felix in the morning and half a bowl of Go-Cat dry food at night, plus a handful at bedtime and water to drink. She supplements her diet with the occasional mouse and scrounges constantly.

She's at the upper-end of "medium build" I'd say, and gets chubbier over the winter when she stays in sleeping too much and doesn't get enough exercise - I sometimes cut her dry food back then, but the scrounging gets almost unbearable!!

I've got 2 cats aged a year and a half, one is very outdoorsy and spends most of her time chasing the next door neighbours dog and the other sleeps all day most of the time but seems to be eating more??!! We were told that dry food os better as it fills them up for longer but the wet food is good as a treat and to balance things out. They both get 2 handfuls of dry food in the morning and half a pouch at night and they both seem happy & healthy.

He has a bowl of water when I'm away for a few days, but this sounds much better...

Its a CatIt drinking fountain from Pet Planet. She seems to drink alot more and my friend who is a small animal vet also said that they significantly reduce the risk of developing renal stones if your cat eats a dry diet (provided the cat uses it of course) as it encourages them to drink more often.
