Els got a good point there, I would say that I am 75% happy and 25% miserable and unhappy with certain issues, but that 25% can seem like 100% when you dwell on it, which I do, alot.
But can I give up the 75% in the search of the 25% with someone else? Probably wont ever take the risk plus I want to find the other 25% with the one im with.
If im making no sense at all tell me to shut up.
but if you have the oppertunity to make it 100% with the same person wouldnt that just be amazing? ...it looks to me like that is what you want good for you ...everything that makes life amazing is worth working for0 -

Wayne and I nearly separated a few years ago (well he eventually moved in with his mum for about a week). About twice a year, we'll do what I call the relationship audit (it was on ivillage) and talk about the results together.
One of the things I learnt when I did a mediation course was to imagine walking in his shoes and give answers as if I was him (and ask him to do the same). It helps you see a different perspective; especially if you use it in an argument; it's easy to argue your own case, but much harder when you've got to argue his case AND it makes you both realise that you can empathise with the alternative point of view! Of course the first time we tried this, Wayne's opening gambit was "wow, I've got boobies" ; end of argument!!

meditation is fantastic i try to do it every day if i can....walking n someones shoes is one of the best things you can do ...when i am talking about things with hubby i now think about what i say more and how it must sound to him ...i dnt want to get his back up but i want to get my point across so i now think about a) what the most important point for me to get across is and b) how i would feel if i heard what i want to say ....it makes you alter your plans a bit but worth it ...
we often do audits on our finances we re-submit new soa's we cut our cloths we sort our finances ...our relationships are more important than money ever will be and should be looked at regularly ...well that's my opinion lol0 -
Walking in someone elses shoes is fine as long as the missus does not catch you tottering in her stilletos :rotfl: Sorry not making light of meditation but I had a vision of me in high heels. Not pretty
