Icesave... what do you think of this?

My partner and I each hold a cash mini ISA with Icesave for the 2007/2008 financial year. I also have a standard easy access savings account with Icesave which I applied for individually.

Recently I sent off a form to have my partner added as a joint account holder to the savings account.

She logged in today and they've actually given her access to my cash mini ISA, not the standard savings account! She is able to do transfers in/out of my ISA... individual savings account, anyone?

Luckily we are in a long-term trusting relationship but imagine if I were just setting up
a joint savings account with a casual partner and they did that... hmm! We all know you can't have joint cash mini ISAs so I'm a little disgruntled about this to say the least. No harm done but really!

Should I be writing a formal letter of complaint or should I just leave it? (Obviously I will be on the phone tomorrow to rectify the problem... but doesn't it seem a bit lax?) Even if I had put the wrong account number on the form (which I didn't) they would still be in the wrong, surely, for giving a second person access to an ISA - wouldn't they?

Or am I just overreacting?

It happens with Nationwide as well. I have a Flex account, e savings with them and then last year I opened a Flex joint account. I asked them for a separate log in just to show the joint account but what happened was they deleted the old log in, created a new log in, and it showed all 3 of my accounts. As I already had an account with them, the joint account gets automatically added to my profile. They said they are unable to show just one account.
