Do they boost the digital signal as soon as the analogue signal is switched off then?

I'd imagine it'd depend on the work that needs doing but it's scheduled for all work to be started and finished sometime between october and december of 2009 for the Granada region. Once they finish the installations and transferring of different channels and frequencies (you must be sick of hearing those terms by now ;)) I don't see why it wouldn't be immediate but it wouldn't surprise me of they cranked it up in steps at each stage of dealing with the different (mux) channels etc.

I live near (north of) Blackpool, and I think it's about 25 miles.

I think that Winter Hill provides a signal to most of the north west, although there are quite a few smaller masts sited alongside the main transmitter. Maybe these are the digital ones?

    Mux ?????????????????????? No...Please don't.....lol
