On the subject of socks, this is a tip I posted on another thread quite a while ago.
I save my plastic milk carton tops, cut a cross in the top with a sharp knife and push the top of the socks through the cross. This keeps them together in the wash and will even cope with a warm tumble drier. When they start to get a bit mis-shapen just chuck them in the recycling and replace with another one. Simples.

It did cross my mind earlier but I wanted to check first - do you think it'd be okay? What about those wipe things you buy to use in tumble drier for dry-cleaning clothes. Cant remember name but think they are around £3-4 which would be perfect.
xx
Ooo.. I'v never heard of them (I don't have a tumble dryer so skip over anything to do with them) - I'll go off for a google in a mo! For £4 it's worth a try!

Beware Asda though, I went in for lentils and all I could find was in the organic area, they were £1.17 for 500g!

We have always recycled the Xmas decs since I was a kid. It was only a few years back that I realised some people buy new each year (I'm 33!). Our oldest bauble is from my grandparents first xmas as a married couple and it is their 60th anniversary this year! Beat that:rotfl::T:rotfl:
New ones every year? You are kidding! I have all old ones left and wouldn't dream of buying new ones every year. I buy ONE new decoration every now and then - to remind me of the year.
My parents still have (and use) silver candle holders for the Xmas tree - yes - they hold real candles and look very nice! And because they are so old, they have sentimental value....and they still hang up the decorations I made from sour dough when I was a toddler! :T I love old family stuff that has memories linked to it!!!!!!0 -

the coffee filter one. I have some sparkly glue, so will have fun playing with that.
Would say I can do it now as we are snowed in with no end in sight, but I would need to get the coffee filters - they might have them at our little local Spar, I'll have a look0 -
Speaking of deccies... We lost our tinsel this year so had to buy more. I was really annoyed and could only think I'd thrown it by mistake somehow last year.
Anyway I've been sorting the loft today and yesterday and guess what I found buried right at the back?
ha ha, sounds like our garage which OH uses as his workshop. It is stuffed with useful bits and pieces and all his tools, but it makes it blooming difficult for him to find something, even when he has remembered he's got it!0 -

I used the recipe on page 6 - double quantity, and it made 12 wraps so quickly, with hardly any ingredients at all.
Thanks Ceebeeby, that's gone in my Word doc so I can find it when I want it. I've just bought 2 pks of 8 wraps and put them in the freezer to use for lunches, so when we've used those, I'll have a go at this recipe0
