No need to wash plates every time, a plate can go 3-4 meals before it needs a wash. :beer:0

I previously tried doing the Oven Dried tomatoes and keeping them in the fridge. However, the olive oil in them tended to solidify and made them look rather unappetising, although the taste was still delicious. Does anybody know how to overcome this problem as I'd be worried about keeping them in a sealed jar at room temperature, fearing they would soon go mouldy.0

If you take them out of the fridge then it should go back to being liquid, it won't harm the tomatoes at all, and it doesn't matter what they look like in the fridge, it's what they taste like! It's like with butter or coconut cream, when it's at room temperature it melts but if you keep it in the fridge it hardens again.**Thanks to everyone on here for hints, tips and advice!**:D

sorry thats a step too far for me,
our plates definitely need a wash each time, i couldnt bear the thought of eating off a scummy plate uuurrrggghhh.....
apart from anything else we are a gravy dinner family, and if its not something with gravy its pasta sauce or something else equally as messy...
the only way i can see that an unwashed plate would last almost a weeks worth of meals is if your eating processed and chips every night0 -

you just need to make sure that the tomatoes are always covered in oil. store bought sundried tomatoes in oil will also go mouldy if the tom's are left uncovered for too long so it's not a personal failing to do something right with the recipe what have you, just the way things are. add a little extra oil and all is well0 -
