Not sure if this has been posted here before but have to trial some well known brand facial wipes at the mo. Not v eco friendly and dont take your makeup off effectively but they smell lovely so used one used one in the washing machine and it helped to fragrance my clothes lovely.

Anyone got any more tips as to what these can be used for rather than landfill clogging? Thanks.

why not dry that sheet out and use it again? it could be used to apply other make up removal liquid, dust etc. then wash it again and again til it falls to bits!

old baby wipes are good for this (ones that have dried out or if you're doing cloth nappies anyway ones that only have wee on them) many wipes are thick enough to be washed 3-5 times and reused. on your last use clean the toilet or something else where you'd want to just chuck it away

wash your scrubby sponges and jcloths too, again these can be washed many times and don't need to be dried.

This is something I've been doing for a while. I use online grocery shoppig a lot, probably three out of every four weekly shops. I've used ASda, Ocado, Sainsbury's and Tesco. What I've found is that by rotating them each week they start to send you lots of incentives to 'come back' to them - ie if I haven't used Ocado for three weeks, they'll send me a 15% off voucher to use them again... so I use it, and by the time the nexxt week rolls around I've got Tesco or Asda sending me codes or vouchers for free delivery etc. It works really well.

OH yes, and if you do it through mysupermarket.com you can of course compare how much they all cost, and you get ipoints too.

I don't know if you can still do it, but years ago Mum bought spare rolls of wallpaper from paint and wallpaper shops and used them to cover our school books with. Might not be cool anymore though.
    mine too lol

Weird, I was just looking at wallpaper in the £shop yesterday and thinking about the same thing. (Except it was to cover my diaries- or journals,). Although I didnt buy it in the end as I wanted it, not needed it!. So resistance actually won!.

Attach silver foil to the walls behind your radiators. Shiny side facing the radiator. It helps reflect heat back into the room and keeps you very cosy.

I managed to keep my thermostat 3 degrees lower all winter.

I´m going to give this a go this winter, but cover sheets of cardboard and blutak them to wall behind radiator. We live in a 200yr old village house in Spain, whose walls are about 21inches thick and we use electric radiators, which we keep on low most of the winter, but in the summer they´re stored back in the cupboards

If you have those little jars of Italian anti-pasti peppers or mushrooms or anything like that. Keep the oil they're preserved in as it makes a wonderful salad dressing with a little balsamic vinegar

Did this on Tuesday with some fennel that was reduced to 30p. Lasted me for 2 days. Add just enough Balsamic vinegar not to drowned the taste of the salad.:D
