A big 500g tub costs up to £2, and you can water down probably up to 50/50 for a runny cream, like a vaseline intensive care consistency, or leave it a bit thicker. It goes a long way, and you can also add baby oil and stir in to make it slightly oilier, as well as a scented essential oil if preferred. You can also use it as a soap for washing skin. It is lanolin free.
I use this but never thought about watering it down, just always use it thickHave a quarter tub left so will be experimenting later

By watering it down, you're not only making the preservative less effective, but adding something that pathogens love (the water).0

Fair point. I'll just water down the bit I want to use then instead of the whole lotworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Or just make yourself look like a prune and don't buy any moisturiser. That way you'll save even more0

Another money saving idea - in our household at least - is that each time a catalogue arrives in the post I contact the company and ask to be removed from their mailing list. Some things are just redundant, like advertising from holiday companies we will never be able to afford, other things are (at the moment) luxuries like new clothes and shoes, or things I know we can borrow rather than buy if we need them, or for suppliers of practical stuff like Lakeland and I just dont need that temptation!
I am operating on the principle that if I and the children can minimise the constant reminders of things to own (on paper, on telly or in the shops) we won't even think about wanting them.We certainly don't need a steady supply of catalogues falling through our letterbox trying to sell us stuff at the moment.

I read that as "Don't buy clothes"... I thought it would save money on clothes buying but wouldn't be great for the heating bill...unless you went to jail!
