Has anyone had a vodafone 18 month contract and seen it through to the end?
My son has and the bill has been paid on time every month with out fail.
The contract ends very soon, the last monthly payment will be on around 8 April 2008.
Do we need to contact the company and let them know that we do not wish to continue with a further contract or will it just fizzle out, will they just assume that we will be continuing with the contract and attempt to take out further payments.
As he cannot find the contract perhaps someone could let me know what happened to them.

The contract isn't an 18 month contract.
The 18 months refers to its minimum period.
To end it he must give the required notice (usually a month or 28 days).
He should phone them to find out how he goes about this.
Some networks accept notice via the phone, and others insist on written notice.0 -

Thanks for that, done the letter and sending it off tonight, so we should just get in with the skin of our teeth without having to pay any further months.0 -
If he finds a better beal I would suggest to call them, as retentions can offer a better deal that he would get elsewhere (usually)
Vodafone rate their customers on a dollar symbol basis on the screen (£=bad $$$$$=don't lose customer).
Orange do similar (bronze, silver, gold , platinum)
If he is classed a good customer then they will offer a good deal
If he wants to change number they may do that free at the time as well.baldly going on...0
