Hiya, poor you ISOM!

Sounds weird but a 3:1 water to bleach solution takes the heat out of sunburn and has a mild anaesthetic effect. My friend at uni was a holiday rep, and she swore by it for helping out mad Brits abroad who'd fallen asleep on the beach after too much retsina...;)

ok its official! Do NOT use bleach 3:1 on sunburn! It **** hurts!! Had to jump in shower quick cos it really did burn bad!! owwwwww!! Have tried to ring my neighbor as I got her some calomine lotion so will see if I can nick that! Would try the milk but cant bear to have another shower!! Bathrooms clean though lol!!

no its ok I did use 1 bleach & 3 water but it hurt - even with extra water!!

In the film 'A Good Year' which I love. the lovely young thing had a nice young man rub her with ice cubes when she got sunburn.

Trouble is I remind nice young men of their mum!

Ceridwen, funny thing in the chemists. A proprietory medicine got the 'Ow Much' response. The young assistant read me like a book and brought out something at half the price which he said the doctors prescribe!

I have got a lot of items from the recipes on here coming on Wednesday. I intend to make sun dried tomato bread to take on us hols also the chicken liver pate.

The amounts we eat: I use 100gs for rice and pasta. Potatoes I do by eye. I do love potatoes. Recently I bought wholemeal pasta and we have decided we like it.

BTW - going to a former post about Mr. Weezl's big poo. If you eat a lot of fibre you do 'stonking' poos (as they are known chez moany). If they are nice and soft and done without force - they can only be a good thing! It means the fibre is doing it's job. I always feel so virtuous - strange really innit? Well, perhaps not for those intimate with me......:o

cloonies or men of simular are distinctly lacking in these ere parts and I dont think Mrs W would appreciate me borrowing her oh lol!!! Am now happily sat with cool fan and wrapped in towel so nthing on shoulders, nightol taken and early night in order as also feel headachy & tired...time for a hat me thinks!
