Anyone know how I can get a private pysch? Got funds sorted, just need to find a Pyschiatrist now. Any ideas?

Hi Feely:hello: I would have thought the best person to ask would be your gp.I am sure they must have a list.

I asked about getting CBT privately and she told me she wasn't allowed to recommend anyone

I can understand her not been able to recomend one but would have thought she could have given you a list.Maybe Tiff will be along with some advise .I will say be very careful to make sure they are properly qualified i am sure there must be a registry somewhere. Also can't you get to see one on the NHS?It could be very expensive to go privately.

I have a pysch on the NHS, but don't really get on with her due to her opinions on addiction/eating disorders.

She recommended therapy, but can't have it on NHS. Seeing as I need to get therapy privately, jsut wanted to check I've got the right diagnosis/medication.

Could this year get any worse?

The plumbers came today and said I can still use my bath as normal. I was looking forward to having my first proper bath in about a week because of the leak problem. I go to turn on the hot water tap and....nothing. No water coming out, nothing. So I cried....and cried.....a lot. I know it sounds pathetic but at the moment it's just one thing after another and everything is getting to me. I had to go backwards and forwards with a big bucket, filling it up with water from the kitchen taps.

I just want to cry and scream so much now. :(

    xx

Hi, as you can see I am new, I have been lurking for a couple of weeks and would like to say a big thanks to everyone who posts.

I have been suffering with depression for many years but it has been really bad the past 2 years.

Just reading through has helped in so many ways. As you all know you feel so alone.....

Been struggling and crying a lot but seeing Dr today for another med review.

This first post is so hard!!!
Much love and hugs to all,
