I feel dizzy today. Was meant to be going out but I can't. I felt great for the last few days and making the best of it, now I am paying for it.:(

It scares me when I get days like this out of the blue, if anyone can hurt me, it is on days like today - that is why I hate planning things.
    An average day in my life:hello: :eek::mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T :o :rotfl: :rotfl: :p :eek::mad: :beer:

    Hi folks!
I have just put 'prozac' into the search box and luckily found this thread.

I've just been prescribed prozac and I am wondering if anyone else could share their side effects please? I had the leaflet but promptly lost it after I put it in a safe place to read later..

Both my kids (16months & nearly 3) are ill at the mo and so I'm not sure if it's a viral thing - I have their sore throat and bad nausea - or if it's the pills. I started them five days ago and dread taking each one as I feel so horrible quite quickly afterwards.

So far sweating and nausea like horrible morning sickness has proved to be the worst, along with insomnia (I can't move as I'm so tired, but I can't sleep either). It wouldn't be so bad but as a stay at home mum I don't get time off

All advice would be welcomed. I'm not best pleased about being on them as I didn't realise fluoxetine was prozac until I got home..I've been on nortriptyline for a bit of post natal depression but the dr changed it as soon as she found out I've finished feeding the baby. I know she has my best interests at heart I'm just a bit freaked out as prozac seems to have such a stigma attached to it.

    Thanks folks,
    Best wishes
    Lucy

Hi ,I have taken Prozac in the past and it worked well for me.As far as i can remember nausea can be one of the side effects but it should go after a week or two.It sounds to me that you have the same bug as your children which is probably making any side effects of the prozac ten times worse.I would give it another week or two and if you are still having the nausea go back to your Doctor. Also do not expect your depression to improve straight away most AD'S take about month to start working properly.

    Hi all,

Glad some are feelin well, sorry others aren't.

I'm feeling ok-ish today, put some new hair extensions in reay for my hols next week, but then my deoderant roll on leaked in my bag, all over my new £300 phone    luckily I'm on contract so they are replacing it for free, but means so phone for how ever long

I spoke to my friend who is suffering Post Natal Depression last night and she gave me some reassurance and agreed I should go doctors.

Been sat here with the last kitten of my cats litter, Tim, as we're keepin him, and at 8 weeks old he's a fab listener! lol Sounds illly but it made me feel better even if he can't answer lol

p.s I also asked my mum about my dad's depression, she said he was diagnosed with manic depression or Bipolar as it's called now, which can apparently be passed down in your genes so will be researching that one tonight

sorry to hear bout your phone, dam annoying that musta been, i keep thinking how i lived without a phone :rotfl:, but i musta done it at one point.

Aww pets are good arent they, better go check on my little one, she is full of energy atm, tho her back legs keep going the poor thing, she will try and use them but they keep going from underneath her :(

My parents also suffer with depression, it can definately be passed down the generations, glad you can research it, always helps to find out as much as we can

    hi

i'm not really sure if i'm depressed or just feeling really low. I can't remember the last time I had a proper night's sleep, and there are times in the day where I just feel like crawling into a ball and crying. The lack of sleep is making me so tired that I don't want to do anything and I've got alot of college work due in soon.

I would love to hear any advice you could give me that could help
