i've been on prozac, and the side effects were so horrendous for me, felt totally spaced out, and bit unaware of what i was doing if that makes sense, nothing seemed real

'All advice would be welcomed. I'm not best pleased about being on them as I didn't realise fluoxetine was prozac until I got home..I've been on nortriptyline for a bit of post natal depression but the dr changed it as soon as she found out I've finished feeding the baby. I know she has my best interests at heart I'm just a bit freaked out as prozac seems to have such a stigma attached to it'
Can I just say that I've been on antidepressants before (for a while in 2000) but none of which have made my mums eyebrows go so high - I know they're part of the treatment and if someone else said they were on prozac I wouldn't bat an eyelid. I suppose I'm just trying to say that I just hope my post as above hasn't made anyone else feel weird about taking them.
Thanks, Luce0 -
Hi folks!
I have just put 'prozac' into the search box and luckily found this thread.
I've just been prescribed prozac and I am wondering if anyone else could share their side effects please? I had the leaflet but promptly lost it after I put it in a safe place to read later..
Both my kids (16months & nearly 3) are ill at the mo and so I'm not sure if it's a viral thing - I have their sore throat and bad nausea - or if it's the pills. I started them five days ago and dread taking each one as I feel so horrible quite quickly afterwards.
So far sweating and nausea like horrible morning sickness has proved to be the worst, along with insomnia (I can't move as I'm so tired, but I can't sleep either). It wouldn't be so bad but as a stay at home mum I don't get time off

Best wishes

Hi Katie
Not too bad today thanks, trying to sort a few things out without much success - lol..
Hope you are keeping well..What came first, the music or the misery? Did I listen to pop music because I was miserable? Or was I miserable because I listened to pop music?0
