Thanks for the advice from everyone, and Jen I've pm'ed you back,

I will go see my doctor, I'm feeling a bit better today, but thats nothing new as I often have good days and bad days. I'm going on holiday a week tomorrow, so next week will be very busy and won't have time to see the doctor, although I've got quite a few pick me up's booked (A spray tan, a ghost walk, holiday) so hopefully my good mood will last longer than a few days this time.

I cant talk to anyone about it really as my closest friend is going through post-natal depression and I don't want to make her life harder than it is with a tearing 2 yr old, PND and my problems as well, my boyfriend doesn't know how to handle it and just cries when I tell him how bad I feel and my mum won't listen and my other friends I wouldn't want to tell them how I'm feeling. So I think the best thing is to talk to my doctor.
It just doesn't feel right, as I'm only 18 and in my head I'm thinking that I shouldn't be thinking what I am as really I have no pressure on me, no worries that adults have nothing has ever really happened to me, these feelings just crept up on me.

Thanks for the advice everyone, very nice to know I'm not going crazy and I'm not the only person who feels like this.

    hi all,

I had a bit of a bad day yesterday and stopped in bed for the most of it and then when I did get up, I watched tv all day .... My friend who I met on another (depression) forum told me yesterday she is going away on holiday to her cousin's parents villa in Turkey. Im ashamed to say I had the worst case of jealously ever - She suffers with depression too but has landed on her feet; she landed a good job and has been made perm, bf, now she is going away on holiday for 2 weeks in a friends villa (no cost except flights). Yesterday I got my letter threw that I will get JSA - its a completely different world.

To add to it all I really need to get a move on with the diss ... my extension finishes next week and I havent even looked at it since getting it on the 1st.

    Anyway thats me....

Dawny - you are amazing, truly inspirational (sp?). !!!!!! what anyone else thinks ....

Tulip - how did ur roast dinner go?

RBK - I get some strange dreams too - very real but not. Your's sound like a symptom of berevement... maybe you could talk to a counsellor about it or do something for your Gran to sort of seal the past in the past if you find them uncomfortable, i love the idea of planting a tree or doing a website memorial.

Jayleigh Ann - I hope you enjoy your holiday and definitely change Dr's if he still doesnt address the problem. I think you should maybe mention your feelings to your friend as she should make the decision as to whether she wants to support etc. I know that sometimes its such a relief to stop worrying about my problems and worry about someone elses for awhile...

Thank you Jen, I'm seeing her tomorrow and will have a chat with her, as I know she'll understand, I just feel guilty for passing on my problems when she is already suffering so with PND, which she believed had levelled off a lot from when she first gave birth nearly 3yrs ago,but it has surfaced again with a vengance!

Thanks again to everyone for their kind words x

Hi all, hope you've all had good days. I've been productive, writing letters and generally getting stuff done. Went to my Dad's for Sunday dinner then to OH's parents to see their new puppy. OMG, it is the cutest thing :D

    Hello. :)

Does anyone here use straighteners? Which type/brand are the best? I have a pair of very cheap straighteners but I want some that are a better investment? I've heard that wet to dry ones are good but I always worry I'm going to electrocute myself.lol.
