Sorry if this is in the wrong place - Mods, please move it if you feel it should be somewhere else.
We are in the process of selling our house and will be moving into rented accommodation. We have a contract with Sky who provide our TV and broadband which, I think, has 8 months left to run. Where do we stand if we are moving - do we take the contract with us? How do people who rent get Sky if the LL won't allow a dish? If we cancel our contract due to our move, will we still be responsible for the monthly payments even if we cannot receive Sky? Sorry for all the questions....

you should be able to transfer the contract to a new address and continue it there. If you cannot take the sky package with you due to constraints in place by the landlord you may have to pay out your contract.0 -
You can move and take your contract with you. You even take the digibox with you. You'll need to get someone to fix up a dish at your new property if theres not one already.
If a new dish/connection is not possible you are tied up for a 12 month contract initially so you could be liable for 4 months payment, or at least a cancellation fee.
Edit: yes, 8 months, I misread. A whack indeed.Blessed are the geeks, for they shall inherit the Internet.0 -
