Love the 'domestic and admin' idea, I would just have said housework!
I've done the clicks, have sent OH off to Mr T with a list, & have planned meals to the end of the month.
This afternoon I need to do some ironing (or else buy new clothes
oops, I mean  ) and shall plod on with making chair covers (blame OS shabby chic thread!)
This is how I sell it to OH
, if I say housework there would be an OH-shape hole in the wall but as it is he's fixed my bike, hoovered and made the kitchen sparkle! And now he's making my lunch :A while I make a shopping list! 0 -
I have checked my online banking
was treated to a yummy lunch
bought a gift for someone in the sale - a mega bargain
Washed laundry overnight and dried it on the line
have another load on airers
charged mobile overnight on timer so cheap leccy.0 -

I havent been very DFW today, I should be barred from this thread today! Ok, so we had a mega treat but it doesnt happen often, maybe twice a year. We spent almost £40 in Nandos, meal for me, DH and the kids, with puddings. I sat there the whole time thinking OMG this is more than I spend on groceries a week. I decided that we needed a treat, and in a way it worked really well. The kids explained that they are all so much happier now we eat what we do, the meals are nicer and more filling and they are so pleased things have changed. I have been feeling like they are all deprived and it turns out they are happier and more settled
They said a treat is nice but they would rather eat the normal homecooked meals they eat each day and have treats less often.
Anyway back to more DFW behaviour!
I have cleaned my mums house and sorted out all her animals (free exercise and feelgood factor)
Checked net banking.
Topped up phone to take advantage of free £5 from O2.
Bought mums top up groceries and resisted temptation for myself and just got the cake cases we needed.
Got my free railcard in the post.
Got some extra clubcard points through - for something that I actually buy?!?!
Got my refund from Park agent. Shall I pay that off debts or put in savings account? It is for xmas, but by xmas I will have more available money, any ideas?0 -

How flexible are your debts? I am overpaying as much as possible on credit cards til August when they're gone, as the APRs are stupid, then I will be putting money in savings to clear the non-flexible loans... so if it was a credit card on non 0% I'd pay some money off that and pay the minimum around xmas, so that you save on interest for 8-9 months.0 -

Sounds like the kids are enjoying their home cooking so don't feel guilty about a treat now and again, in the overall picture you are changing their attitudes so that a treat is actually a special thing and not an everyday occurrance:DI havent been very DFW today, I should be barred from this thread today! With the xmas cash, putting a small amount away regularly will help when it comes around, if you put it in savings you can always get it out if you are really stuck.0
