Saturday 29/03/2008 What small dfw things have you done today???

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging the washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.

Morning All
Havnt posted on this thread for a while but really need to get back to it.
Today
OH taking DS to the hairdressers so I dont get tempted by the nearby shops.
Am working on my business today and doing a projected cashflow - will either be very depressed or very happy in a couple of hours time.
Making dinner using left over chicken.
Menu planning for next week, normally dont bother when the kids are on holiday but I cant let the budget relax at the mo.
2 online surverys completed already.
Thats all I can think of for now.

Morning all!
Today is domestics and admin day...
-not turning heating on as will be warm doing housework
-two lots of washing on 30 degrees and will put the airer out on the terrace if the weather stays like this
-have had sausages for breakfast that lovely OH bought for 35p last night from sainsburys, finding bargains like that impresses me greatly! DFW is rubbing off on him
-won't spend anything unless we do our big shop today (clapham farmers market is on 2mw - tempted to head up there!)
-will carry on with my meal planning spreadsheet after spending last night on the o/s board getting inspiration!

Good Morning!!
I too intend to have a 'domestic & admin day'
Need to - clean room (again not DFW exactly but I'll want to stay in more if it looks nice)
And get to grips with my daily clicks.
And I'm going to check online banking and make list of everything leaving my account.LBM : August 2007my debts: less than this time last year....!DFW Nerd Club #706I'm Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts

Today I:
* I have only just got up, saving gas and electricty as I was still under my duvet!
* will pay an outstanding bill
* use bus pass to get into town to meet a friend
* will aim to dry bedding on the line as it is soooooooooooo windy down hee
* will tidy and clean bedroom
* will do pigs back comps
:heartpuls CG :heartpulsEver wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.0 -
Love the 'domestic and admin' idea, I would just have said housework!
I've done the clicks, have sent OH off to Mr T with a list, & have planned meals to the end of the month.
This afternoon I need to do some ironing (or else buy new clothes
oops, I mean  ) and shall plod on with making chair covers (blame OS shabby chic thread!) I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
Afternoon all

Today I have/will
check online banking
exercise to a dvd rather than pay a gym fee
walk to the shops for milk & oats only
photo for & list on Ebay
two washes dried on the line
clean the oven (did it first thing when I got up, I HATE this job with a passion!)
making meals from store cupboards
not put tv on at all until at least 5pm...get more done that way
wait in for my Asda order (two weeks of shopping & free delivery)
and that's all I can think of so far
Have a great weekend folks

Today I have/will
Make dinner from left over takeaway bought last night
Do food shop but not buy any meat or fish to keep costs down
Keep watch on my ebay auctions ending today - stand to pockeet £120 before fees today
Was very pleased to see for the first time H did a wash at 30, without me having to remind him (he works for the NHS and has to wash his uniform at higher temps apparently so he's used to always doing the wash higher)
Drying washing inside0
