I have checked my statement and I noticed that I have also been refunded money by PTI (I joined Match.com:o )
What I've noticed is, my membership was debited from my account, then credited, then debited AGAIN.
I may be wrong but I think it's all to do with transaction charges - Who get's them? It's 2.5% of the overall charge (57p in my case) but when the money was refunded to my account, the transaction charge wasn't.
Is this what PTI is doing? refunding and recharging accounts so they can keep the transaction charges?
I've had small Amazon and Amazon Jersey transactions credited, waiting for the re-debit...0 -
What I think is that they accidentally took the money through the wrong account (PTI Europe), realised their mistake, refunded it and then took the money from the right account (Amazon EU). Any charges and things will have to be dealt with on an individual basis by contacting Amazon.0

They have your original permission to debit your acount..so I can't see where or how this can be illegal?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I too had a debit for £9.95 from pti europe never heard of them. This had been refunded, but a further amount has gone out for £9.95 yesterday to something called vprewards.com. I've had to cancel my debit card as this look s like a scam. It appears to link to Vistaprint the online printing service.0

The vprewards thing does sound like the continuing payment problem from Vistaprint that I've seen mentioned on the warnings board. You might want to do a MSE forum search as there have been a number of people caught with that one.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Me too, came here to check if anyone else had this but I had the money out credited and debited and I bought on Amazon too. The other items I bought a few weeks back are showing as Amazon charging and not PTI.0

I bought some le creuset pans on Amazon last week and the amount (110.97) has been correctly taken from my account by 'amazon'. A couple of days I was credited on my bank statement by PTI Europe with the same amount £110.97. I have received the pans so have no idea why I have been 'given' my money back!!0

I’ve just been going through my Credit Card Statement and noticed a mysterious transaction for £19.99 for PTI Europe Region with what appeared to be an 08 phone number alongside the transaction. I dialled the number and it was AOL so hopefully the mystery solved for me at least and hopefully the rest of you if you’re using AOL.
