I love how they distort reports to get a headline saying the complete opposite view. Of course over the last 5 years they will show they are up. BUT over the last 12 months they are almost neutral and for last 6 months well down.:exclamatiScams - Shared Equity, Shared Ownership, Newbuy, Firstbuy and Help to Buy.

Worst. Newspaper. In. The. World.
I honestly have no idea what The Express is for.
Why does it exist? It's appallingly resourced. Its columnists are yesterday's men.
Its circulation is in freefall (sorry, it's "rising", according to Express-think).
Whatever you think of the Mail, at least it still has proper journalists writing for it.
I guess they can no longer write offensive rubbish about the McCanns, so have turned to writing garbage about property.
What would Princess Diana think?!!!!!0 -
Gosh ! the owner of the Express, Dermot Desmond, has millions in property investments.
You don't think he might be trying to talk up the market whilst offloading his portfolio do you ? :rolleyes:0 -
I liked the first comment after the article:
"My dog could come up with better journalism than that.
David Pilditch you are showing yourself to an a rse.
Whats next David ? "Revealed the Sun Sets Every Day""0 -
I like this comment.
I've tried to explain this in simple terms on here before to people, but this does it better.
The Nationwide reports five straight monthly falls in house prices and predicts that they will fall further during the year. However, the Express author concludes that because house prices are higher than 5 years ago, they are "still going up".
By employing that bizarre logic, I can use the fact that I am taller than I was 30 years ago to conclude that I am "still growing".0 -

As Pilditch can no longer lie about the Mccann's (see recent Express settlement), it looks like he's honing in on another target to write bullsh*t about instead. I'm sure that 'Elvis on the moon rather than price crash' quote has been used at least 3 times this past year too. I'm guessing he's taking old quotes to suit Dirty Des' agenda.David Pilditch has written...- More about 'madeleine' than anything else

I don't buy newspapers but interestingly (or not) my home has gained over £75 per day since late2003 or 82%. Madness indeed. I expect the fall to be even steeper.

£93.83 tax-free a day or just under 126% for our house in Aberdeenshire between April 2003 and April 2007 when we sold it. Slightly less if you factor in the costs of buying and selling.0

GG, did you spend too long looking at that hypnotic spinning spiral thing with the subliminal whispering over on the housepricecrash.co.uk site?0 -
