So, this is what I told sky :eek: :

    Dear Sirs

I am writing with regards to sky broadband for which I have discovered today is a complete con.

I pay and have paid since joining you as my ISP £10 per month for up to 16Mg connection.

According to advise given by your overseas advisors an acceptable speed based on the package I am subscribed to is 5Mg. I am at a loss to understand why this is a lower figure than the package which is one down from mine (8Mg).

Whilst I appreciate that I am not guaranteed to receive 16Mg you can imagine my dismay to discover that not only am I only receiving 3Mg but 3Mg is the MAXIMUM available I my area as per information provided by BT.

It appears that you are charging me for a service that you are physically unable to provide and should have advised me of this upon subscribing with sky.

I wish for my package to be downgraded to the £5 package with immediate effect and to be reimbursed the £5 per month overcharge backdated to the date I started my broadband contract with you.

I expect my requests to be dealt with within the next seven working days. This includes correspondence of some description acknowledging my complaint; otherwise you will leave me with no choice than to contact the regulatory bodies responsible for broadband issue.

    Yours Faithfully

hehe ~ I'm happy to help anyone who wants to give someone else a postal rollocking :D

    Here is todays (background.
OH will have no more earning in this tax year.
He is owed approx £600 in tax
There is a form you fill in to reclain tax before end of tax year
    We filled it in
They wrote back and asked for P60 ):

    Dear Mrs Silly HMRC Wonam

Further to your letter dated 17th March 2008 (copy enclosed) please find further information with regards to the tax rebate I am owed for tax year 2007/2008.

When I first made the application for a tax rebate I incorrectly completed form R40. Once I realised my mistake I completed form P50 in quick succession. As I am unsure to which form your letter relates I will assume that it is in fact the P50.

First of all can I just point out that I find it extremely strange that you are requesting a P60 for tax year 2007/2008 when not only am I not in employment/receipt of benefits but does it not defeat the object of the P50? I am also confused as to why, as HMRC, you do not already hold this information.

After a further discussion with an advisor called Ian this morning please find enclosed the following documents relating to the current tax year as per his advice to speed up the rebate entitlement:
    • Employee’s copy of P45 from *!!!!!! work that made me redundant*(only part available)
    • Certificate of Holiday Pay & Income Tax deducted from *wierd company that administered this*
    • Part 1A of P45 from Jobseekers Allowance claim (only part available with figures)
Please be aware that I am extremely reluctant to send the above original documents as last tax year HMRC managed to lose my P60. Although I understand that you do need to see the originals can I please ask that they are looked after in a professional manner and returned to me in the enclosed SAE.

Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you in a timely fashion.

    Yours Sincerely

    Mr Miserable Bollox

Well, today we have had a family day out at Bridlington

We had a fab time, went on rides, ate candy floss, went on a speedboat :howcoolwasthatsmiley: and played on the beach.

The only thing that spoilt it and in fact cut our day short is that we were sharing the beach with a urinating/defecating dog   Its stupid owner picked it up (well, the poo) but really, !!!!!!, CHILDREN PLAYING!! I was *this* close to actually going and saying something to the silly mare but in the day of the chav you really cant be too careful can you

Anyhoo, we kinda felt that we didnt want the sprogs playing in the sand any more and came home although we would probably only stayed another hour or so anyway.

Dogs are actually banned from the beach in high season but why not all the time :confused: I have thought of writing to Brid Council but I dont know if that would be pushing the boundries of postal complaints :p what do you think?

Other than that we had a fab day, MB is feeling it a bit (why wont the stuborn sod get a walking stick) and is sleeping on the sofa and I'm off to get the sand out of Little Legs ;)

Oh, and even though I never took my shoes OR socks of WHY DO I HAVE SAND IN MY TOES :p

We might get a chinese tonight :o:o to say goodbye to the eating of crap (diet starts tomorrow) so a big spend day in all but SO worth it :D:D
