Given up on trying to stay away and work :rotfl:

Dunno where you are tig or if it's by council, but here it's no dogs on beaches after Easter day - it's being badly ignored at the moment by ignorant dog owners as it always is when Easter is early.

hehe ~ I'm happy to help anyone who wants to give someone else a postal rollocking :D

    Here is todays (background.
OH will have no more earning in this tax year.
He is owed approx £600 in tax
There is a form you fill in to reclain tax before end of tax year
    We filled it in
They wrote back and asked for P60 ):

    Dear Mrs Silly HMRC Wonam

Further to your letter dated 17th March 2008 (copy enclosed) please find further information with regards to the tax rebate I am owed for tax year 2007/2008.

When I first made the application for a tax rebate I incorrectly completed form R40. Once I realised my mistake I completed form P50 in quick succession. As I am unsure to which form your letter relates I will assume that it is in fact the P50.

First of all can I just point out that I find it extremely strange that you are requesting a P60 for tax year 2007/2008 when not only am I not in employment/receipt of benefits but does it not defeat the object of the P50? I am also confused as to why, as HMRC, you do not already hold this information.

After a further discussion with an advisor called Ian this morning please find enclosed the following documents relating to the current tax year as per his advice to speed up the rebate entitlement:
    • Employee’s copy of P45 from *!!!!!! work that made me redundant*(only part available)
    • Certificate of Holiday Pay & Income Tax deducted from *wierd company that administered this*
    • Part 1A of P45 from Jobseekers Allowance claim (only part available with figures)
Please be aware that I am extremely reluctant to send the above original documents as last tax year HMRC managed to lose my P60. Although I understand that you do need to see the originals can I please ask that they are looked after in a professional manner and returned to me in the enclosed SAE.

Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you in a timely fashion.

    Yours Sincerely

    Mr Miserable Bollox
Oo PMSL at this- your diary is a great read Tigtag. I think i will refer to MR. B as this as well! To his face:rotfl: I like the Sky one as well.

Glad you've had a nice day, we almost went to the coast today but decided to clean, polish and hoover the car instead.

Loving your work with the complaint letters :T and why not send one to Brid council, just for good measure.

Those speedboats are great aren't they. I went on one with Stu and Ryan once, but think they would be a bit much for Natasha just yet. :D

Hope MB recovers soon, and lol @ the de-sanding, it gets EVERYWHERE doesn't it!

I appear to be on a roll :o:o:

    Dear Sirs

Myself and my family have enjoyed a lovely day out today in Bridlington which unfortunately we had to cut short due to the appalling behaviour we witnessed by a dog owner.

We noticed that dogs are not allowed on the beach during high season (1st May – 30th September, according to the sign) but I have to say that there must be some call for this to be a permanent ban.

My children were playing happily on the beach. Digging in the sand, paddling in the sea, the epitome of a blissful family day out when a couple came onto the beach with their dog. Within seconds and only yards from where my children were playing they allowed their dog to urinate in the sand. Not a hundred yards further down the beach it then defecated. This was picked up but I am sure that many (toxic) germs were left behind.

I was absolutely appalled at this behaviour and for the general heath of our children myself and my husband felt we were left with no choice but to leave the beach thoroughly spoiling a good day out.

When we are forced to share the beach with such inconsiderate people I can only suggest that dogs be banned at all times to protect the children and family who play there but welcome your suggestions and thoughts on our experience.

I'm going to get flamed for this but here goes....

I own a dog, I like to walk her on the beach and I pick up after her.

I also adhere to local bans on keeping her off certain areas in the summer.

Personally I wouldn't have let her get so close to your kids but to ban me completely would be a bit harsh? I bet some kids pee on the beach in the summer.

At least if a dog does pee on the beach it is washed off in the next tide, rather than if they pee on a playing field (which I would never let my dog do)

We all have to live in this world, can we not share a bit of beach in the off season?

Erm, when your animals are defecating and urinating so close to my children NO ~ its disgusting!

You may not let your dog do that, some obviously do which is once again a case of some spoiling it for the rest of you

But your response is just to ban everyone with a dog all the time? Isn't that a bit extreme?

You have no idea if a dog or other animal had been on the area of beach on which your children were playing before you got there?

The water quality of the sea is also worth thinking about. There has been a lot of rain recently and this tends to wash sewage more quickly out of treatment plants. The water your children was paddling in could have been infected with E.coli or other bacteria.

I still think you wanting the beach all to yourself is a bit selfish.

I am also confused as to why, as HMRC, you do not already hold this information.

The tax people only get summary reports from various people/departments/places well after the 4th of April. They usually have no idea what you've earned until about the end of May - and that assumes there's no backlog at any stage in the pipeline.

They are crap for losing stuff - but that could be the motto for the entire Government.
