DK ~ I think the sitting in front of the telly thing is the idea ;)

Hi Cat ~ sproggs are good thanks :D nothing really much to tell about them today, we have been to Kirkstall Abbey and played:
    • Catch
    • Football
    • Rugby
then we came home and made pizza's :D

However, I am currently like this:

    BLOODY SKY

We pay £10 a month for the *up to* 16meg broadband. Now I know that the *upto* is thier loophope but having run a diagnostics test (get me ;)) I thought that the 3 were are getting was a bit !!!!!!.

So I rung Sky-India and had am half understandable conversation which resulted in them wanting me to start unscrewing the flaming phone socket.

    MB said no way.

Anyhoo ~ a pal of mine told me about a test you can run from the BT website. You just type your phone number in and it tells you the max available to you.

Or max is 3meg

So we are getting the max possible and robbing-barstewards-sky have been talking our money all this time!!

    I feel a !!!!!! letter coming on!!

    And relax.......................

That's really bad of them, when we switched the operator bloke said our line could only cope with 2meg (bloody backwards place ) so it wasn't worth doing any more than the £5 (5meg) one as it'd be unnecessary cost and make the line unstable.

Thats what has annoyed me Gem ~ the fact that they have continued to *let* us pay for something thats not even available to us.

I dont mind paying for *upto* 8meg (£5) in order to get the maximum 3 available BUT the £10 charge just takes the mick

If you put your telephone number in HERE it should tell you the max speed available to you in your area :D

    Thank for that Tigs.

Part of my problem is that I dont have a BT line, so I cant use that check yet. This means that I'm limited as to where I can go for broadband, so I'm looking at the possibility of returning to BT

If it will save me a few quid a month, I'll go back, but I need to think about reconnection fees etc too.

    Scary pic innit :rotfl:
