  • Tried but told even if there was a special 9p per ream offer (didn't want to mention this forum) would need to spend £30.

If I needed so much paper it might still be worth it since cheapest paper around £2

Now that this thread has been placed on the Martin's email, Viking will probably go mental

No harm in trying to phone again at a different time of day to get a different operator. The condition for the paper is that it is your 2nd order I don't think it is based upon spend.

Just registered with Viking and placed an order. No way are they going to let me have the paper at 9p per ream - I may be able to get it if I get a re-order leaflet. Told by the CS that an internet website is encouraging people to 'abuse' the offer.

Did get my free hi-fi though, but after the lecture about internet sites costing them lots of money, didn't like to ask for the free biscuits. I was offered some Tetley teabags on a special offer, so if anyone likes them it might be worth a call !

Will have to wait and see if I get the cheap paper offer leaflet. Still really pleased, and will probably re-order anyway if the quality is OK.

Rang up to check my order this morning after placing it yesterday and they said they had no record of it. So complained nicely and I'm now getting my original order plus CD player minus postage charge! Hurrah!
  • Just phoned to order paper, sellotape and get cd player.

No sellotape in stock, ok with paper, but told that CD player offer was for existing customers only.

I'll try again later. I suppose it's still worth ordering the paper, then ordering something else the next day!
  • Just tried to place an order and get the free cd player and they said you HAVE to spend over £30 to qualify. I guess they must have had too many cheeky cheap orders and have put the mockers on it!!

  • I just tried to order by phone the reams of paper for 90p plus the free cd radio but was told that you could only buy the cheap paper on your second order. My first order has to be over £30 to get this offer. So for new account holders the free cd radio will actually cost you well over £35.

I never knew Viking existed before the OP started this thread, not only was the offer such a good one with the paper and free Radio/CD Player but there are so many other bargains that are brought to notice when the catalogue is sent along with the delivery. The number of posts from members that have applied for items and have benefitted from the cheap price and free gift seems to have brought great joy to so many, this has got to be post of the month, anyone else who thinks so should find the appropriate thread and nominate it as such. 1a_y_grin.gif

Would love to, but they wouldn't accept my Viking order!
  • I tried to order something from this no. to recieve a free CD player, but they refused because I did not have a 'p' code found on catalogues sent out to prospective customers. Anyone else having the same problem? :-(
