1 Toisa & 1 Cash isa

I would be grateful if anyone can let me know if one is allowed to have a cash isa and toisa with a different provider.

Yes. You can have ISAs with different providers for each tax year. A TOISA is treated like a Mini Cash ISA with no tax year as the contributions came from a TESSA which predated ISAs and they can be transferred to Mini Cash ISA at another provider at any time.

Except that some TOISAs will be called 'Cash ISA (TOISA)' by some banks - to allow them to give a worse interest rate (than that for their normal 'Cash ISA') to those who have stuck with them over a long period of time. :rolleyes:
