Nothing to add officially today (well technically yesterday now, must get to bed!)

Sold stuff on ebay but might have a problem with that :rolleyes2 even though my auctions clearly state from buyers outside the UK I only accept payment via paypal, a newbie from US won and as soon as they had completed the checkout to send payment via postal order/bankers draft. Messaged back right away explaining everything but not a peep back, even said I'd take a postal payment so long as it was in gbp. The last item of this type I sold, exactly the same thing happened

    Anyway, rant over!

Today I got an offer through on my bad credit card (the higher interest & balance one) for a low interest rate for the life of balance transfers. As I'm going to run out of my low interest on the other card next month I transferred the whole balance tonight so should save myself something there, plus it's easier to manage and I think watching the balance on one card go down should motivate me a bit more.

BUT the scary card has put up my credit limit AGAIN! When I got the card my limit was £1200, now it's £3600!! "Funny" thing is that it's the same company my boyfriends got his card with and they've just cancelled his card "due to the credit crisis" as he didn't use it enough, just shows you!

Super sorry for the major long post, I blame the tiredness!

Maureen - go for Amazon for the books as it's much easier to list than ebay.

Batgirl DON'T GO!!!!!! You are brilliant for the thread, as others have said you hold the whole thing together and welcome newcomers etc... you also go through and thank every person for their post. You must report the abuse and also block people from PMing you that aren't on your buddy list. Looking forward to reading a post from you soon

    Thank you.

Might not be logging on to MSE for the next few days been having some horrible PMs from someone not very happy with this thread and don't like logging on and finding them so i am going to keep away for a couple of days, if you see my green light on saying I am here it will be OH as he logs in somedays on my user to browse.

Hope you all have a fab few days of money making

    Batgirl

Batgirl, I'm absolutely fricken horrified! Lemme at 'em!

Report 'em, block 'em and close down PMs for a while maybe - but don't let some rancid f*ckwit drive you away from here.

    Big hugs honeybun,

PS I've just read on a bit further and i wanted to say that whilst I understand where you're coming from on the subject of reporting this - it doesn't make any difference that this person is unhappy and lashing out at you.

If they choose to leave the site then it's their responsibility not yours. Just as their bad behaviour is their own responsibility.

It's bullying chick, that's why this individual is doing it behind closed doors and not on the board where we can all see it.

They are relying on the fact that you're a good, kind person and that you won't report them or name and shame them.

If they're unhappy I empathise - we've all been there - but it doesn't make any excuses for their behaviour.

When my daughter was being bullied at school, I told her that anything those girls did to her I'd do to their Mums in the playground which somehow solved the problem. - but that's not going to solve this one.

Tell her to stop. Tell her if she doesn't you'll be forced to take steps - public steps. Then it's up to her isn't it?

Love Jacks xxx(Who's a hard @ss about these things!)

Hi taka - producing a listing for ebay takes me about 5/10 mins but when I started out it took me much longer so it depends how much practice you've had really.

For Turbo Lister go to the "Sell" page on ebay and you can download it from "seller tools". Using turbo lister is much quicker and you can do it all offline at any time then upload when you want to. Here it is: http://pages.ebay.co.uk/turbo_lister/index.html

I find Turbo Lister much much faster, especially if you have a dial-up internet connection. On turbo lister everything is done on one page rather than going through about five pages when you list something live on ebay.

No cost to download turbo lister or use it - ebay want you to use it so you upload more items so its one of their free tools to help you.

I hope that all makes sense - not very good at explaining things

    Hi,

Can I just ask how you do templates with Turbo Lister? As I have used it before but have had to add a templete on the actual EBay site by reviewing each individual product. I have also just opened a shop for a month to see how it goes but I want all my listings to look the same IYKWIM :D

Not posted for a couple of days, made £7.50 yesterday and then found £2.50 in my car whilst searching for missing toys!

Hope everyone is ok and doing well.

Batgirl please come back, there is no need for spiteful people, I personally would contact one of the moderators and report it.

Hello everyone. Just found this thread and would love to join in please. I had set myself a personal target of £300 for the month before I found you guys so its just the thing I need. So far I have made £51.60. Have a few items on ebay and will be listing more.

Determined to make the money. With a three year old and a six month old, I need all the pennies I can get.

Just a quick question - do you tend to sell more on amazon or green metropolis?
