If you have lots of debts that you can't pay then that is what bankruptcy is for, to help give you a clean slate. No one will refuse to help you, You need to get professional advise on bankruptcy and tjhe CAB is one of the people we reccomend
Edit:you all beat me to it.

You need to put together a good argument for keeping your car. Exactly WHY do you need it? Check out Parkers for accurate pricing - just because you paid £1k doesn't mean thats what its worth.
And also bear in mind that this may not even work! I have so far been allowed to keep my car (£1k valued, don't work, single with 4 kids and need it for school runs/hospital/doctors appointments) but others on here with cars of considerably less value have had them taken. It also depends on the OR on the day or your interview - there are no guarantees.
I'd check out www.wisebuyers.co.uk for prices too, i find them more accurate than Parkers.Life is like a game of Snakes & Ladders, i almost made it to the top but now i'm at the bottom again and its a very long ladder to the top. I had it all and now its gone
Well my 6 years are now up, now to start to rebuild my life again

I hope my OR doesn't know that! My car came out cheaper at Parkers than wisebuyers!!:D0 -

Oh, other way round for us, its best to look at both anyway and then present the cheapest valuation i reckon. My OR was happy with the valuation for both my car and motorbike from wisebuyers. OH's heap of a car is valued at almost £500 on parkers but £300 on wisebuyers and that is pretty much as much as i would expect to get for it.Life is like a game of Snakes & Ladders, i almost made it to the top but now i'm at the bottom again and its a very long ladder to the top. Hi,
you really need to ring your local court and find out what system they operate for BR. Some have a drop n service, others require you make an appointment.
Most courts require an appointment and it can take up to four weeks to get that. You'll need to time things as your appointment with CAB isn't for another 3 weeks.
Maybe find out asap what system they use, and then decide what and whens best for you.
Re, the car. Its hard to say. Each OR assess it individually. Some ORs are taking cars that are valued at less than 1k. We really can't say whether you will get to keep the car or not, but the OR will decide if the cars a necessity or not.The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter0 -
Whether you have to make an appointment or told to drop in , you will be BR that same day , just depends on how your court works.0
