Cancelling an O2 contract
Options
Hi, I am on a contract with O2 and I sent them an email to ask them to cancel my contract (expires in July) so I could move onto pay as you go. I thought they would say that that wasn't possible as i was still on contract, but they haven't. They have sent me a PAC code and now I need to get a simcard and they will transfer the number and that is it.
However they have mentioned that I will be charged as per Pro-rata basis till your contract end date 14 July 2008.
How can I work out how much this charge is going to be? It might not work out being a good deal in the end.
ANy help would be much appreciated.

You can always cancel a contract at any time by giving them the required notice. But if it is subject to a minimum term, then there will be an early termination fee to pay.
Your early termination fee will be the equivalent of the monthly line rental you would have paid up to the expiry date in July.0
