Yes, I've had this letter, three times now.

It meant nothing more than there was a problem with the magnetic strip on my card and as a result they had in fact blocked my card each time without warning, meaning I could not withdraw any cash from any ATM.

All three times that this happened was within three months, and I had to wait for up to five days each time without any access to my money. The last time it happened a couple of weeks ago was the last straw for me and I have since closed my account with them and gone to Alliance & Leicester instead.
sorry to hear that...my problems are only with amounts over £300 and online shopping they always say it not verified by visa problem...but I am still with them at the moment ....:D

  • Citi are OK if you advise them in advance you will be purchasing expensive items, but not much good if you decide on the spur of the moment, I told them that I needed clear access to all my funds, all the time, after an issue paying my holiday balance, no problems since and just spent £680 online on a household purchase in one go.

My Citi card was changed in March and all working fine, I was able to swipe and sign for something last week!
