Hiya! Hurrah - it's payday tomorrow! So I'm all declared at £173.02
I know it's high as there's only two of us, but previously we would have spent quite a bit more than that so it's all progress
Looking forward to starting May with a budget of £170! I'm sure we can do it!!
Thank you so much to everyone for their help! It has made a huge difference!Jonathan Douglas born 20th January 2009 - 9lb 4oz

Good evening everyone.
I hope everyone is doing ok.
My challenge finishes tomorrow and I'm not planning on going into the shops so I would like to declare our spends for the last 5 weeks as £192.45.
I would also like to be put in for May grocery challenge for £210 again. Am going to do this challenge for 5 weeks again, which will take me up to the end of May.'Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle'0 -
I'm a definite convert to bulking out meals with oats etc. I have one problem though, everytime i have bulked out my spag bol, it has stuck to the bottom of the pan. Pre-bulking i never had this problem
Is it just me?

I don't add the oats until I've added everything else (veg, sauce etc). Would this help?:)Jonathan Douglas born 20th January 2009 - 9lb 4oz

Think people must be getting put off by the price of bread and making their own as Asda had totally run out of Asda Yeast and Hovis Yeast, only had Allinson stuff which you can't use in a BM but luckily I've still got some in the cupboard to see me through for a little while longer.
Didn't know you couldn't use Allinsons yeast, maybe this is why my BM attempts have been less than brill shall we say! Do you know why you can't use it??Official DFW nerd - 282 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts'

I've spent another £20.76 at Mr Ts - that's from Sunday and tonight so updated my signature for that. £12.19 left of my budget.
Oh, just remembered DS has had school dinners twice and they've both had stuff at breakdast club so that's another £4.60 so that only £7.59 left - I'm cutting it very very fine!
Off to update my sig again for the bit I forgot!NST #10 Steps 7K 2/30 10K 2/12 5 a day 3/30 NSD 0/20
