Oh dear, spent £10.00 yesterday cos I was out with sis and she needed a few things in Tesco. Got a large (reduced ) pack of spicy chicken wings for barby, dont have actually have a barbaque but who cares, a pack of King prawns (half price), a bottle of Suancerre (half price) and a pack of chicken breast in cream and white wine sauce (reduced). I didnt need any of these things obviously. I,m totally not focused this month. I,m supposed to be tidying the dining room right now, I start to do one thing then just drift off and start something else leaving everything half done. Thats just me , now theres a cop out if ever I heard one . Will change the sig of shame then get back on track.

I've decided to get myself on a diet for a few weeks to see if I can shift some of my baby weight (she's 3 in August ). quote]

I wouldn't beat yourself up too much. My 3rd baby was 14 last week and I still haven't shifted it :o

I lost over 2 stones last year with SW so I'm planning on incorporating some of their recipes into our week and hope that helps me shift some more. Wish I had MrsMcawber's will power. I am amazed by her losses and it has pushed me into trying again.

Have done my meal plan from my cupboard contents plus the stuff I bought last night so will add to sig later. Off to "Flylady" now as house looks like a tornado hit

    Happy Sunday everyone :A

Thanks Kitty. I know I shouldn't beat myself up about it but I'm just annoyed at myself for not doing anything to shift the last stone. I put of almost 5 stone with DD, 4 of which shifted fairly easily and quickly but I don't like having this last stone hanging about. I just liked to way I was before and want to get back to it IYKWIM ? I'm hoping by posting on the weightloss thread will help me lose weight like posting on this thread helps me spend less :D

Hi everyone, cant believe how fast this post grows

Well I am not going to come in on budget this month already spent £58.17 of my £60.

Know exactly where Ive gone wrong, forgetting to take meat out of the freezer the night before and then going and buying it the next day:o

However I went to asda yesterday and have stocked up on tea bags so whilst that takes a big chunk of this months budget I wont have to buy any more of them for a while.

they are tetley and the 80 tea bags are on offer in Asda for buy 2 for £3 however in my asda this also included the 80 packs that are 100 % extra free so basically each pack is 160 instead of 80 so I got 320 tea bags for £3 yet their 160 tea bags are on offer at buy 2 for £5

So this way I got them a lot cheaper. Hope that makes sense it confused me when I was in store looking at them :rotfl:

also they have kp skips for 70p for bag of 10, and I think nick naks were also on offer.

Their tiger bread was on roll back to 50p (would have bought more than one but they are so big it wouldnt have gone in my freezer)

and their own brand sultanas were 38p for 500g ( still cheaper than the smart price but not as cheap as they were)

Couldnt find any whoopsie items any where how do asda do it? do they just go in with the non whoopsie stuff or do they put them in a different section? I normally only use asda online as the store is 25 miles away (had to go to town to get my car looked at!)

Oh and I popped to the outlet village and went into whittards and managed to get some earl grey loose tea reduced from £4 down to £1.50 with a free pretty tin, wondered if loose tea might work out cheaper as its making a pot each time rather than a cup.
however earl grey tastes perfumed is it meant to? or am I just too common for it and prefer my cup of tetley LOL

    Morning all

A NSD here today :D just over half way through my budget and half way through the month -so must try and stay focussed ;) . Will need to pick up some odds n sods of veggies this week... mind we have loads of salad stuff and as hubby is an addict...i might get away without "dinner veggies" this week if i think about it :p . Yep im sure i can.... then pick up broccoli etc on friday for the weekend roast dinner.
Having roast lamb with potatoes, carrots, cabbage n peas for dinner.. and will have enough lamb left to make a pie for another day..the last one was stunning -if i say so myself :o

Had 2 slices off a loaf i made yesterday using, white, spelt and granary flour -toasted with butter for brekkie and it was heaven... much nice than plain old white...

Thankyou for the lovely comment KITTY :p -mind it only took me to the age of 35 to find Mr will power ..and to realise that "moderation" can actually be done;) , oh and i don't even have any children to take the blame for my weight  ..... bet i get pregnant as soon as i get to my goal weight -and blow up like a balloon :rotfl: ....mind it would be worth it :D
At least now i would be elligible for the hormone drugs they think i might need to have a little one ..but im giving myself to xmas to either conceive or to lose as much of my 4st 6lbs extra that i can - can't see the point in wasting NHS funds on drugs to help me if i haven't given myself the best possible chance of them working ..ok .... far too much information there folks :o will shuffle off quietly :rotfl:

Razra Earl Grey does have a distinctive taste, I think the English Breakfast Tea is the closest to your normal cuppa:p .
If you like Tetley I would have a look around as lots of shops near me have Tetley at £1 for 100 including Poundshop and Savers and the WeighIn shop (where they have lots of stuff loose in tubs), I think you just have to get out of the supermarket mindset:rolleyes: . I also find lots of places like that have good bargains - branded beans for example at £1 for 4 (usually Branston or HP) It's just that they're in places that you can't really do a whole shop in so you have to be prepared to shop around. It does help that I work near the town centre so can pop in and get some bits n bobs in my lunch break;) .

Went to local shops yesterday and spent £12.18 on F&V, meat, milk, eggs n bread rolls so not bad. Still doing quite well and quietly optimistic. Made hob nobs and rock buns yesterday and may make a rice pud later, It's cornish pasties for tea with mince in gravy already cooked and from freezer:D .
    Will update sig now.

    Have a good Sunday x

MRSMCAWBER please will you put me on the list again. I think maybe I haven't posted this month. My aim for this month is £240 for five adults, I am not counting animal feeds. After cpmpletely emptying one freezer I have been to the fish quay and bought £40 worth of fish, order from our local butcher £59 and a whole lamb from a friend at £69. I have cancelled the organic vegetable order as I couldn't afford to pay it each week now that Aldi have cheap veggies. I have got onions and carrots from my neighbours garden and cabbage and spinach and a tiny bit of brocolli in mine from last season. I am going to buy frozen vegetables too as there is less waste. Having the box veggie scheme totally messed up my menu planning too as I didn't know what I was going to get.

In total I have already spent £209 of my £240 budget but most of the meat and fish will last for months so future months will be more manageable, I hope.

You might need to put loaves in a slightly cooler oven for longer than the recipe says.
