Is the "certain" weight near your ideal weight or way off?
Are you eating lots of different things - you need to vary your eating otherwise your body gets used to itI haven't got one!0 -

hprice wrote::T hi thank you for the codes i lost 5lb this week had still had two kebabs on the weekend by saving my sins from the whole week
Gillain examined the nutritional value of kebabs (which also contain a LOT of fat) and the nutritional value of dog food, and apparantly dog food is far more healthy than kebabs! Gillian asked her client, "Would you feed your 5 year old daughter dog food? Or yourself come to that?"
That really made me think and I know what my answer would be. I'm amazed at how food is sold to us yet we often know very little about its content. I won't tell you what's in a kebab, but just think of Jamie Oliver when he was demonstrating the content of turkey twizzlers and you'll be halfway there.
That said, WELL DONE on your 5lb weight loss, you must be thrilled. :T"He who asks questions cannot avoid the answers"0 -
On the topic of kebabs, my OH used to work for a meat supplier, and used to deliver boxes and boxes of................................FAT  to a Kebab manufacturer. This went into the big Doner kebab thing that gets cooked on a spit thingy. Never again will I eat one.
Well on my second week of slimming world so I hope you don't mind if I join in with this thread. 15 st 1lb in the start,(far too many oldstyle recipes:rolleyes: )
I lost 2lbs in the first week and am hoping for a bit more this week.
Just had burger, chips and salad for tea ( slimming world style of course) and it was honestly yummy. I even concocted a Mayo substitue from )0% greek yogurt and some other bits to make a sin free dressing for my salad.
Off for a weigh in soon, so fingers crossed for me please;)
Really inspiring to see the support that is being given here to everyone, good luck to all, and I hope you all achieve your weight loss goals.0 -
Just so all you kebab eaters out there don't panic. Not all kebabs shops sell nasty stuff . I think it depends on the shop as to what goes in the kebab. I used to work in a Turkish kebab shop and the owner made all his own kebabs which consisted of minced lamb and herbs, egg and seasoning. They were calorific though as lamb is quite a fatty meat but nothing dodgy.
Also you can always opt for a chicken kebab which after all is only grilled chicken in pitta bread with salad.0
