ISA i still dont understand

Do you need to put a lump some down in one? as i havent any savings but i can put some away every week plus more once a month.

No: you can 'drip feed' monies into an ISA: the exact amount per month would depend on the ISA product/provider.

You can put as much or as little in at a time as you want up to the annual deposit limit
£3000 for the tax year 2007/08 ending April 5th 2008
£3600 for the tax year 2008/09 starting April 6th 2008
Some banks/building societies have a minimum for the initial deposit but you'd have to check with the one you're planning going with, it's normally not much (£50-£100)
You can withdraw money from them at any time, but for example if you deposit your entire annual allowance then with draw £1000 you can't then put it back in later in the year, as you've already made the maximum deposit.0 -
You can open an Egg Cash ISA with a £1 deposit IIRC, currently pays 6.05%.2014 running challenge 587.4 miles / 250 miles0
