husband not well-suspected hepatitis?

hi all,
bit upset, worrying about my hub. he hasnt been feeling well for a few days, started off with a cold flu thing. has yellow eyes, and dark urine so popped along to GP, who said that he could have hepatitis A maybe. waiting for blood results. he is tired and snappy with me. im trying to get him to think positive, as maybe its worrying for nothing. im worried that he wont get paid. he will only get 10 days full pay then its obviously basic sick pay. i work but only get £80 p/w, and we have mortgage arrears of a £1000 now, which we are trying to pay back at £300 p/m. we cant afford to be ill, 3 children to keep. his GP has signed him off, saying that he needs to rest, and that he can go back when he feels better. reading some things on internet, suggestion is 6-8 wks?? he has been really busy at work, done a 21 day stint without a day off few wks ago. could this be why he is ill?
advice greatly appreciated

    melie,

    Hepatitis Info.

Working too hard doesn't give you Hepatitis, but looking at that site, watch your hygiene around him in case!

Re income, have you looked at all possible savings on this site on the different boards?

    MEDICAL ADVICE

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this: Sorry, giving or asking for medical advice is not permitted on this forum as it’s not what this site is about. While discussing medical insurance policies, cheaper ways to see consultants, cashback for alternative health treatments and how to get specific medication cheaper (legally) are all perfectly acceptable we ask you specifically not to discuss what to do in the event of certain medical problems (please see this rule on the Health Board). If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.

You could look on the benefits board for help about whether you'd be able to claim anything more, and on Old Style and DFW for ways of reducing your expenditure.
