I think then that he is the first version but without seeing him I cannot tell. If first version then £800 -£1200 in good condition. They have a lot darker faces.
Had a look on ebay today and they seem to be going for a bit more than usual. Could be as I said that there are no auctions going. However if they are high ticket it may be worth looking for an auction such as Elsecar etc who may be having a specialist sale.0 -
thanks seashore. im trying without success to post an image. god its annoying
anyway, think i'll take a punt on ebay if neighbour agrees and put a decent reserve on them
i appreciate your words of advice. will post results...0 -
Not sure how often you sell on ebay if you are a regular seller then I apologise for teaching you how to suck eggs but with high price auctions you need to be careful. Make sure that if you take paypal you only send to a confirmed address with a courier who has an online trackable delivery service. I would also suggest taking lots and lots of pictures so that there is no argument reguarding condition.
I expect there are some who sell ceramics regularly and can give advice on how to send securely - the last thing you want is any breakages.
Aren't there any suitable auction houses near you - I would look into that first rather than ebay.0 -
I think you would be really lucky to get the kind of money stated for either of the pendelfin rabbits and without the stickers too.You state they are in good condition but how good condition because these ornaments are incredibly fragile as they are only made from plaster cast in rubber moulds. We live in Burnley where they were originally made and I've sold loads of these rabbits on Ebay and I have to be honest the bottom has dropped out of the market on there so much so that we have started buying from Ebay to sell on elsewhere!

Hiya ravylesley we do not live a million miles away from you over the hill in fact. I feel the same about ebay but have noticed just recently that prices for the old ones seem to be on the up, was watching a picnic basket the other day with a chip and that went for £50 not great but better than they have been.
I still think that an auction house is safer than ebay especially if you are new to it. But it needs to be on the internet and then they do the work for you without any hassle!
You can always knock a third of book price I reckon and at the moment maybe even 50 %!0 -
seashore321 dont you think that Ebay is a very volatile market at the moment though?I'd be tempted to post it on Ebay USA if it was me as I've sold quite a few pieces to the states and they are prepared to pay more for it than the UK market at the moment.
Book Prices when it comes to Pendelfin are a complete joke and I feel sorry for people who actually own the pieces and think they are worth the book price and then realise the harsh reality when they come to sell.
I have tbh here and say that after many years looking at them I hate them with a passion but there is money to be made in them if you can pick them up cheap enough

Totally agree they were great when I was ten but I must admit to greed and have been collecting them at car boots etc for ages. I have been watching a couple of items as I mentioned picnic basket and they have gone for a fair price but £200 under book! have put some on ebay but I also include America in my selling to.
I prefer a proper designated auction that is online and then they have any problems from newbies and the other rubbish that comes with ebay if you are not prepared for it.
Must admit though it is still fun! found an early witch at a car boot which she told me was a bread dough figure her mother had made.! That was a joy!!0 -
well ive emailed elsecar as suggested and will have a look at local auction houses too
i think ebay is too much of a risk if theres a chance theyre worth good money0 -
where is the catalogue available?
we are about to inherit a collection of ~ 40 inclusive pieces including some large items composed of several individual pieces i'e some 60 pieces in all.
Most were bought inthe 60,s - 70's are these run of the mill or could there be gems ?Awaiting a new sig0 -
