IceSave Trouble..

I started opening an ISA with Icesave at the end of january, sending off multiple copies of documents and such and hearing nothing back. Ringing them to ask if they had recieved anything, but no everytime. So i sent more. Finally i got a letter to say the account was open 3 weeks ago and i would recieve my login details & a welcome pack withing 5 day... but still nothing yet. I keep calling but end up getting cut off.

So i was wondering, as the account is open is it a) possible to open another ISA with someone else as no money has been put in and b) if so it it too late to open an isa with another provider?

If that isnt possible, is it to late to send a cheque to icesave?

Any help would be appreciated:confused:

The account isn't properly open until money reaches the account. You are unlikely to open anywhere else in time so my advice would be:

If you want to use this year's tax allowance, persevere with phone calls and insist on log in details but for speed ( one week left of 07/08) send a cheque anyway via recorded delivery to have proof of receipt Icesave end. That way you will know that your funds will be counted for this tax year.

If you are that cheesed off with Icesave, then transfer out at a later date to somewhere else and pay 08/09 money into new one.

Thinking about it, if you do transfer out in the near future, you don't need the log in details, although nice to have.
