Cashback credit card paid off at the end of the month all the way ... the only exception is if someone is willing to give me discount for paying cash - I'll take it, if not then I will go for the cashback.

I always pay with cash, My Oh has a debit card, which works for her...I just like to have money to hand, and I always have the leeway for a discount!!

I do feel I've succeeded when I'm buying online and get the lowest price, then use my cashback credit card via a cashback shopping site, and then ideally get loyalty points from the hotel/shop etc too:D

Can't get the poll to work but

I am cashback credit card all the way except where there is a charge for this (Ryanair you know who you are) in which case debit card/cash or whatever is cheapest - however with airlines there is always that slightly uneasy feeling of not being covered by the card issuer...
    I think....

Cashback credit card, paid of each month, for sure. Or, cash. When I have to write a cheque now it feels most strange :D

  • Identical choice of cards to Kazd. I'm just amazed at the high percentage of voters who pay off in full, every month, the non-cashback variety of credit cards.

Interesting results. I would have thought that the people on this site would have made much more use of cashback or even something like a stores own credit card (to maximise reward points). But basically 45% are paying over cash and a further 17% use normal credit cards (although maybe some of those could be other 'reward' related cards).

Martin, your sermons must not be getting through. :D
