Good luck dear boy! So what's two years' interest on the deposit?
"Mrs. Pench, you've won the car contest, would you like a triumph spitfire or 3000 in cash?" He smiled.
Mrs. Pench took the money. "What will you do with it all? Not that it's any of my business," he giggled.
"I think I'll become an alcoholic," said Betty.

Best part of a hundred quid.

They've heard all the evidence now - we're just waiting for the judgement. It's very nerve wracking.

We got 800 pounds from her which is pretty disappointing.

Basically it means that she's stolen about 500 from us.

What was the £500 knocked off for?

He basically accused Mrs Generali of lying, wasting his time and of bringing a frivolous case ("This has generated a lot of paperwork for only £1600").

He found we had broken furniture, stolen a lampshade and not cleaned the flat when we left.

He also struck out Mrs Generali's compensation clain entirely.

very disappointing, not to mention you've still got to extract it from her, what were the deductions fror and do you have any rights to contest the remaining £500.

I suppose you could look at it one way you have lived for 2 years without the money , so it's a bit of a bonus to get £800.

Disappointing attitude for someone working in a small claims court.

What was the compensation claim? Did you take a lampshade or break furniture?
