GRRRRRR!!!!
The post office have now managed to screw my redirection up for the 4th time! After seemingly getting it sorted they now tell me that i'm not even able to get a partial refund on the redirection charges!
Double check everything they do if your getting redirection!!

well 1stly the started the redirection early and as a result of me not being up north the pick the parcel up from the depot they managed to loose it for 10days!!! then they kept sending stuff to the old address, then they took 2payments off my debit card and still haven't refunded 4weeks later and now again post is going to my old address. Its so annoying as all they say is that they will double check the details are correct with the sorting office!!!New surname New start!

We had a similar problem, loads of our mail went to our old address, despite us paying for the redirection. They also managed to loose all of my university coursework - I only got it back because the lovely person who got it sent it back to my uni. The redirection service is useless ...0

Yes, similar problems with mail still being delivered to old address. It took many verbal and written complaints to eventually have it sorted out and the postie concerned "retrained" five times! Six months later they eventually got it right, by that time there was virtually nothing left to redirect.
Also advised when I tried to cancel it and get a refund this was not possible. What did I receive in return - a book of 1st class stamps.
It could be explained by the fact that RM were then being managed by the ex boss of the Football Association - the mind boggles.0 -

ok, so your beef is with royal mail, not the post office?
sorry, it just grips me when i see so many threads slating the post office only to read the problem is with royal mail.0 -
I had an amusing incident recently when complaining for the third time about my mail redirection.
In my 12 month redirection I complained about:
1. Some of my mail not being redirected at all
2. Mail incorrectly redirected to me when it belonged to the person who actually lived at my old address
3. Mail incorrectly redirected to me when it belonged to someone at an address two doors away from my old address
When I called to suggest that perhaps I might get a free/discounted extension to my redirection as a result of these errors, I was told that even though I had complained three times, they were all considered to be different types of complaint, and therefore isolated incidents!!!
In fairness, I did eventually get an extra free month.0 -
Fill_7, as the re-direction was set up at the post office my gripe is infact with BOTH the Post Office and Royal MailNew surname New start!

ok, i understand your anger about the whole situation. but all the PO do is accept your redirection and post it to RM for them to process. nothing is set up at PO, merely your application accepted, checked and despatched.
the form obviously got to RM in good time as it started early(!) so the PO has done its bit.
not looking for an argument, just trying to protect my livelehood!

Aw man, I'm absolutely dreading trying to get my mail redirected when I leave my rented flat and move into my own home (in about September). I have loads of weird bits and bobs getting delivered to the flat and then some stuff gets delivered to my mum and dads address too.
