C*A*T standard ISAs - does anyone bother?

Mini Cash ISA

Must pay no less than 2% below BOE rate - so that's 2.5% now, right?  ::)

From Next April, this will be 1% below

Has the CAT been let out of the bag? Did it try to cross the road and get run over?

Is the CAT standard of more use where stocks-and-shares ISAs are concerned? What proportion of ISAs (approximately) are CATs?

Comments

  • I think that CAT is an acronym for COsts Access and Terms.
It does not refer to the interest rate.
You can have a CAT standard ISA which is not very good and a non CAT standard ISA which is very good.

CAT standard equity ISAs are nothing special either.

  • Purrhaps they should cease pussyfooting around and drop the use of the term CAT standard.

I was trying to say "cat"footing around using a different word from "cat" but it got replaced by the autocensor.

    Evidently no censor humour.
