Please help................
I'm a little confused with the ISA rules
Q1, If I open an ISA in the 2007/8 tax year and only put, say, £2000 in, and I find I have another £4600 to save in the 2008/9 tax year, can I put it in the same ISA, i.e. £1000 for the limit of the 2007/8 year and £3600 for the 2008/9 year??
Q2, do I have to open a new ISA every tax year.
Regards
Shippo.

No you can't rollover an allowance. You will only be able to put in £3600 for 08/09. You need to put the other £1000 in before 5th April.Q2, do I have to open a new ISA every tax year.
No you could add to the exisiting one if it still has a good rate.0 -
