Anglia Water taken me to court, now the high court, and threatening me with bancrut

have a debt with water for £1024... have now ccj against me for this, baliffs have been round... and added £900 of costs on top of debt, i have offered sherforce enforement agency £1024 if i dont have to pay any costs... but they wont accept it... and i am stuck i dont know what to do.... they say they are filing for bancruptcy against me, - i am not sure what this means...

Can i go and pay the debt at the county court?

Will anglia water accept the £1024 from me to settle the bill with them...?

If bailiffs have got involved that will have been actioned via the court. You will have to pay their costs (as far as I know).

You can go to your supplier and pay them the £1024 but you will still have to pay the court/bailiff costs - usually you can set up a payment arrangement to cover this and your current usage.

However until the bailiff costs have been paid your ccj will still be outstanding.

    best of luck
