T-mobile holiday bundle
I'm going to Spain next week and just rang T-mobile to find out prices for texts etc .I am on a monthly contract and i've been with them for ages, anyway they gave me a free holiday bundle of 90 texts, so I'm a happy bunny:D It's worth a try for anyone else on a contract with T mobile;) "You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Related tip mentioned several times before: if you are on Flext, then from abroad sending a picture message comes out of your allowance (or if you're not on Flext, then it's charged at 20p). Either way, it's cheaper than texting and you can say much much more in a picture message (which doesn't have to include a picture!).
Also, if you want to receive incoming calls you'll get charged as I'm sure you know - but if your voicemail is left on you get charged for a an incoming call AND a call from where you are to the UK each time someone leaves a message. Plus the cost of calling the UK to listen to it.The thanks button is here to the right.
