BIG car insurance problem =[

My renewal is up in 1 month...I've just been doing some quotes online, its gone up by £600 since last year!! That's with the same company as a new customer...I've had 2 collisions in that time, neither of which I was at fault!
If I can't find anywhere that will insure me for £1600-£1700 at the very very most then I'll have to sell my car...

:mad::mad::(:(

:huh::huh:
It doesn't help that I'm just turning 22 but can anyone recommend where to look? I've tried the usual confused.com

well i would phone your insurer and query the rise
perhaps they have your record as with fault? sometimes you need to call rather than do online quotes0 -
Just a thought.. have you tried tesco compare, or comparethemarket.com and also sainsburys & asda do a comparison search also..
Nice car by the way..;)0 -
Thanks

I'm gutted to say the least...I just bought some new rims + tyres for her!
I'll give the other comparison sites a try...Takes forever to fill in the details :rolleyes:0 -
Despite your 2 claims being non-fault, your risk profile has changed, hence the increase in your premium.
It may be your insurance company have decided they don't want you any more (no offence), and are pricing you away from them.0 -
Definitely ring the company you’re with if they really weren’t your fault and query them to the death about it. Insurance companies are total rip off merchants when is it ever worth claiming for the years of hardship you’ll get from bad reputation and increased premiums etc. Have you tried the system on here for saving on insurance? I’m 19 and changed from being on my dad’s policy because I was worried about fronting. The company we were with wanted £2200 from me. Ridiculous. After an hour of searching on the net I found a quote on the net for 1000. A phone call to them and they knocked it down by a further 80 quid. Just before I said I wanted to go ahead I ummed and arred a bit and said I think I might have to shop around a bit more and they knocked another 20 off. So by far the cheapest with extra knocked off.0

I find phoning co's can sometimes be better than screenscraper sites (though I do use them)
In 06 I had a 100% fault claim. Scraped the whole of the passenger side of our 350Z down a metal fence post before impaling the car onto the post by way of the rear wheel arch
At renewal our premium went up but by phoning around we paid less at renewal than we did before I had had the accident.
I know it depends on a lot of factors but its worth spending time doing it.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -

yes the 2 claims really weren't my fault...people going into the back of me...i'm just very unlucky i guess
this is a very time consuming process
that could indicate a fault with your driving (eg stopping with your handbrake so no brake lights show, driving too close to cars in front of you, not keeping the car roadworthy etc)
2 non fault claims will increase your premium. your new rims won't help either - you now drive a modified car.
try one of the admiral group - they're competitive on hig group cars. you need to declare your new rims though.0
